GOLD RIVER

gold river is so depressing. its barely out of campbell river, but they dont have cell phone range or fm radio or anything. Its like the mill shut down, and the rest of the world said “well, we dont care about you anymore”.

It makes everywhere else seem a bit superficial…

The apartments I’m staying in are so moldy and condemned and freaky, and the guy who runs them very openly goes through the dumpster, disconnects power from certain sections of the building, comes into our place during the day and turns the lights and heat off, etc…

its pretty far out. Today I’m gonna buy a camera, maybe, and take pictures of some sights.

The drive out past buttle lake is so beautiful, and the swimming hole on GR is crazy; like the medicine bowls, but with super turquoise tropical looking water. So i want some pictures of that.

I should say, though, the aquatic centre in GR is really nice. $5 aint cheap, but its lighting is good, and all the fake palm trees and wood panneling remind of west ed. (the best water park I ever seen)

but other than the one place, Gold river is just a bunch of drunk natives, huge empty streets, gravel parking lots, and vacant buildings. It makes me feel a bit sick.

About jefrab

hahaha. I'm just a funny guy who sits at home on my computer a lot, and dj's a bit, and makes music sometimes, and tries to teach himself how to use complicated software of all types. I'm a hippy from an island of 800, who grew up without a radio or flush toilet, but who has somehow managed to make his way around the world, and learn the difference between chinos and khakis...
