I’ve liked a couple more videos in the past few days, so I’ll share those…
here’s one from a long time ago; this song was on mine and my brothers “cumbia to kuduro” mix we made years ago that I can’t put on soundcloud because it’s waaaaaay too long. The song is off of a great free EP put out by a beer brand. It’s a really good jam that years later I still put on almost every time I play with the naked djs.
This one is found checking out this band after a favorable P4K review. The album wasn’t quite as good as I’d hoped (sorry band), but this song I really do like, and when I saw this video it definitely drew me in.
Next is a Shazalakazoo video…I like this video because I think of Shazalakazoo as a pretty non-denominational music…it’s electronic, but not “electronica”, and its not quite balkan, not quite cumbia (even here with Binary Cumbia Orchestra)…it’s kind of just a fun music that does it’s own thing, and I think that’s really well represented by how casual and inclusive the party in this video is…I kind of pretend this is what #occupywallstreet is like.
uuuuuuh…And here is the video for “Abrazame”, which, years later is still the best song I have. I think it’s funny that the download for it has an acapella, because I don’t know why or how anyone could eff with this beat! Andy Gillis is the coolest!
